Wow! What an eye opening experience we had with Dan Sinas on Friday. He sure had such a wealth of PR knowledge to impart to us. I am excited to implement this in my own practice.
So, how important is your staff? Apparently, the most important asset we have yet can be the biggest liability. This double edge sword is extremely important for us to balance as we look at the bottom line in our practice. Remember to rate your employees on an A, B, C basis. The A employees you have to keep challenged, keep educated, and possibly pay more. With the B employees, you will have to spend time with them, send them to further their education, or possibly redeploy them. Unfortunately, the C employees and the bad apples have to be let go. But, if you let them go, documentation as was discussed in the meeting is a must! Remember how thorough all the groups were in the scenarios. We should be that thorough on a day to day basis…This stuff is important folks!
Acquire, Develop and Retain...
From the new hire to our favorite long term employee, we should keep in mind retention and how to keep our Straight As!
I challenge all of you, as well as myself to develop an office manual by the first of the year. Let’s revisit this topic and share our manual next year to gain more ideas to make our very own PR department run smoothly.

Remember, the next meeting of the WDSG will be on Oct 13th with Ballihoo Marketing. Ballihoo is an independent firm that will help us with our websites and give some great information on online marketing.
Hope everyone has a great few weeks ahead of them!
Until next time,
